Six councilors and a mayor. In one day. Amazing. The pictures and press articles tell this wonderful story! First it was an MP, then 13 MLAs, now it’s spreading to BC’s municipal leaders. Congratulations to Jeanette Reinhardt, Sarah Sullivan, Leanne Wingert, Leanne Cunningham, and others at AIDS Vancouver Island – and to their partner Public Health, Courtenay. They challenged the mayors and city councilors of northern Vancouver Island towns (Courtenay, Comox, Cumberland, Campbell River, and Comox Valley Regional District) to get publicly tested for hepatitis C on World Hepatitis Day. Their results were astounding. And they were gracious enough to thank us at HepCBC for inspiring them. They have inspired us in return! For articles, see
