View it on the map here For anyone concerned about the Canadian government's request to appropriate a $250 million "surplus" from the "1986-1990" Tainted Blood hepatitis C compensation fund which was intended to go to victims, please join HepCBC and others in Vancouver to watch the live hearings in COURTROOM #52, between 8:30 and 2:30 each day. SHOW YOUR SUPPORT by coming early the first day and staying late the last day - we can meet in front of the courthouse. NOTE: The "pre-1986, post-1990" compensation fund is now depleted and unable to compensate its victims properly. Also, many new victims still have not been diagnosed. This action may set a precedent that could affect eligible victims of both the funds, as well as the many people who could potentially enter either of the classes but are not yet diagnosed, or did not apply before the deadlines. This event is also happening LIVE at the TORONTO Courthouse (Rm#6-1) and can also be VIEWED in the MONTREAL Courthouse (Rm#15.04). Please pass this info to others, and for more info go to: Sat. The walk starts from Centennial Square at noon, proceeding down busy Douglas St. over lunch-hour and arriving at the Legislature around 12:45 At the legislature we will have speakers and information tables from 12:30 to 2pm. As well, there will be an information table at the Victoria Central Library, with knowledgeable and experienced individuals from 11 am to 2 pm.
